Synopsis
When a new kid comes to town, the boys
must embrace the latest fad that hits South Park Elementary or risk
their status as the coolest kids in school. Stan could lose Wendy if he
doesn't get involved, and Cartman would rather kill himself than join
in on the fad. But when the boys realize that Butters is more popular
than they are, they find that they have no choice but to give in to
peer pressure.

Butters asks the boys (Kyle, Stan, Cartman and Kenny) if they want to join them to see High School Musical 3.
When they say they don’t know what it is, Clyde reminds them that
they were in Peru. The girls are talking about seeing Bridon at another
showing of High School Musical 3one of the girls comments
that Bridon would never go out with her, which leads Wendy and the
girls into singing a song about being friends and being special. Kyle,
Stan, Cartman and Kyle are completely confused when the entire
cafeteria girls and boys break into song. They are joined by Bridon.
The boys get together and High School Musical and they
don’t understand why it’s cool. Cartman gives up and says he is
going to go home and kill himself and Stan, Kyle and Kenny all swear
not to become this. Cartman shows up the next day, he sat in his
mom’s hybrid in the garage, but it didn’t kill him. Louis J. Sheehan, Esquire Mr. Garrison
tries to teach the children about the Berlin Wall, but the kids wind up
break into a song about the “East Side and West Sideâ€. Jimmy asks
Stan if he feels like he’s losing Wendy to Bridon, and Stan begins to
contemplate that. As he walks the hallway, students begin to surround
him like they are ready to back him up in a song, but Stan quickly puts
a stop to that. Stan confronts Bridon and Bridon admits to not liking
singing and dancing, he would rather play basketball, but his dad
thinks it is for sissies and he will beat him. Stan convinces him to
try talking to his father and when Bridon gets home he tries to do just
that. But his singing and dancing sissy Dad threatens Version:1.0

to slap him. When
Bridon’s mom speaks up, Bridon’s dad starts slapping her silly.
The boys arrive at school to find everyone singing about being at
school together. Stan gets Bridon to the see the basketball coach.
Bridon goes to throw a few balls at recess, but his Dad finds him.
Bridon’s Dad starts slapping the coach. Even Mr. Mackey gets slapped.
As Bridon is dragged away, Stan resigns himself to the fact that the High School Musical
thing isn’t going to go away. He tries to convince the other boys,
who are now starting to hang out with a loser named Scott that they are
in danger of becoming outcast, uncool and unpopular. A concerned
student (probably Stan) calls Child Protective Services, who stop by
Bridon’s home, but his Dad starts slapping the representatives and
then he starts going slap-happy. The next day the auditions for the
school musical have been posted, Version:1.0

Wendy and Bridon have gotten the lead
roles. Stan contemplates what it all means and as he walks the hall;
again he is being followed by students ready to back him up in a song. Louis J. Sheehan, Esquire
This time he gives in but he begins to sing proper kid’s songs.
Bridon is running away, he is sick of singing and dancing. He father
threatens to slap him but Bridon hits him first and he is shocked and
then his wife hits him too. The other boys find Stan watching High School Musical, but it is actually High School Musical 2.
Stan argues with them and reminds that right now everyone thinks that
Butters is way cooler than they are which Cartman cites as a low blow.
At the school basketball game, Bridon is ready to play. Bridon goes in
and scores a basket for the team. His Dad is in the crowd and he gets
into the audience participation aspect of the game. Wendy and Bebe ask
Bridon why he wasn’t at rehearsal last night and he tells them that
he has joined the basketball team and given up singing and dancing.
Stan begins to explain it in a song, joined by the other boys (Kenny,
Kyle and Cartman). While they are singing the rest of the kids start to
disperse, most of the girls going to watch Bridon practice basketball.
